My brother is an amazing man: a brilliant mind, a great friend, a loving husband and soon-to-be father, a sharp wit, the only person in the world whose head is nearly as big as mine.
But even so, when I heard Ed Miliband’s victory speech this afternoon, I felt a surprising empathy, like it was a sort of symbolic vindication for all of the times that Arthur beat me at stuff, like chess and running and the SATs.
